We are proud to announce a new collaboration between Driven DynamiX and DirtFish Rally School. As part of this effort, a DDX Precision simulator is now installed at the DirtFish facility in Snoqualmie, Washington, where it will support driver training, skill development, and preparation for time behind the wheel.
The collaboration brings together two companies with a shared focus on helping drivers improve through purposeful practice. DirtFish has built a strong reputation for rally instruction and car control training, while Driven DynamiX develops advanced motion simulators designed to deliver responsive, immersive driving experiences.
At Driven DynamiX, we believe meaningful driver development comes from repetition, focused practice, and a clear understanding of vehicle behavior. The DDX Precision gives drivers a controlled environment where they can work on steering inputs, braking technique, throttle application, timing, and consistency.
These skills are especially important in rally driving, where drivers must manage changing surfaces, limited grip, weight transfer, and vehicle balance. Small adjustments in braking, steering, or throttle can have a significant effect on how the car rotates, settles, and maintains traction.
DirtFish is known for teaching drivers how to understand and control those reactions. Its programs focus on core rally techniques such as line selection, braking, throttle management, rotation, weight transfer, and adapting to changing levels of grip. The addition of the DDX Precision gives drivers another environment where those concepts can be practiced and reinforced.
One of the most exciting aspects of the installation is the connection between the simulator and the DirtFish property. Drivers can experience the roads virtually, then apply what they have learned in a real rally car on the same terrain.
“We're big rally fans at the office; it's probably the most fun you can have in a car,” says Alex Nankervis, Founder and CEO of Driven DynamiX. “It's also an excellent testbed for our driver training simulators - both because of the unique car control data we get in rally, and the exciting opportunity to see it used for familiarization and instruction alongside the real car.”
Brenten Kelly, Managing Director of DirtFish, explains what that means for students, instructors, and guests:

It's an exciting addition to the DirtFish experience and a valuable training tool for our students and instructors, all right here on site. You can literally drive our property in the simulator, walk out the door, and drive those same roads in a real rally car.
“We're always looking for new ways to grow the sport and help people become better drivers. Collabing with DDX lets us do both, and we can't wait to see how our students, guests, and the rally community embrace it.”
The simulator allows drivers to repeat scenarios and concentrate on specific areas of technique. A driver can make an adjustment, feel how it changes the vehicle’s response, and continue refining that approach through additional runs. This process can help build awareness, consistency, and confidence.
Brian Davis, Marketing Lead at DirtFish, sees the simulator as an important tool for developing drivers and expanding the role of simulation within the training process:

The DDX Precision can also support preparation before an on-course session. Drivers can become more familiar with key inputs, vehicle reactions, visual references, and timing before working with an instructor in the car. That preparation can make training sessions more focused and give drivers a stronger foundation for applying feedback.
After a session, drivers can return to the simulator to revisit techniques, reinforce lessons, and continue working on areas that need improvement. This creates a valuable training cycle that connects preparation, instruction, review, and refinement.
The collaboration also gives Driven DynamiX an opportunity to learn from the instructors and drivers at DirtFish. Their feedback will provide valuable insight into how the DDX Precision performs in a professional training environment and how drivers use simulation as part of their development.
That information is important as we continue improving our products. Technical performance matters, and the driver experience ultimately determines the value of a simulator. Having the DDX Precision at DirtFish allows us to see how the system supports real training goals in an environment built around driver education.
We are excited to see how drivers at different experience levels use the simulator. Newer drivers may use it to become more comfortable with vehicle inputs and foundational car control, while experienced drivers may focus on timing, consistency, and smaller refinements in technique.
In every case, the goal is to make practice more intentional and help drivers get more from each training opportunity.
